Proudly Australian-built, our 84-foot Norman Wright is a masterpiece of maritime craftsmanship, blending timeless design with modern luxury. This iconic vessel features four beautifully appointed guest cabins—accommodating up to eight guests in total comfort. Enjoy a queen stateroom, two double cabins, and a cozy bunk room, each with its own private en-suite. Spacious outdoor lounging areas and a generous, light-filled saloon offer the perfect setting to unwind between adventures. JASON LEGG, Captain & Business Manager
Jason is the driving force behind Huntress Expeditions, serving as both Captain and Business Manager. With over 20 years of experience on the water—and 15 of those spent operating on the Great Barrier Reef—Jason brings a deep knowledge of the ocean and a calm, capable presence to every journey.
His love for the sea began early, fishing and boating off the south coast of NSW from the age of 12. That passion quickly turned into a profession, and by 24 he had launched his own successful sport fishing business.
Jason’s connection to the Great Barrier Reef runs deep, and he’s at his best when sharing it with others. Whether it’s reeling in a trophy fish, diving pristine coral, or exploring hidden corners of the reef, Jason’s goal is always the same—to give guests a truly unforgettable experience, and to inspire the same appreciation and respect for the reef that he’s carried his whole life.
First Mate / Engineer
Aboard the Huntress, your comfort and safety are top priorities. That’s why we have a skilled and capable First Mate who also serves as our onboard Engineer. As the Captain’s right hand, they provide essential support both on deck and below, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely from start to finish—so you can relax and enjoy the journey.
